GIA have recently agreed Party Wall Awards with Reform Developments Limited, on behalf of the Adjoining Owner, as part of their extensive Oldham Street project.
The refurbishment works comprise proposed retail use on the lower floors, with boutique apartments on the upper floors.
Allowance has been made for detailed checks of the lower more accessible floors, plus a conditional approach to agreeing relevant works and remedial measures on a floor by floor basis for the upper less accessible areas.
The proposals are being reviewed under the remit of the Act to permit the works, whilst minimising disruption to shared structures and overall impact on the Adjoining Owner.
This streamlined strategy will ensure that the programme is maintained, whilst safeguarding the Adjoining Owner’s interests, through regular inspections as safe access is made available.
